Small Grant for Start ups

Passing through a capacity building but very competitive process, SIRDEP has a been granted an award to support 10 vulnerable persons in Bamenda. The grant that has been awarded by LUKMEF is coming from Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). The process that started with about 35 CSOs from across the country saw SIRDEP emerge as one of the awardees in the end.

The identified beneficiaries for this grant will be supported to start up petty trading activities especially in roadside eateries. Their capacities will first of all be built on simple financial recordkeeping and good customer service in the sector. Each beneficiary will then receive a non-cash package to enable him/her start and build resilience, thus improving their livelihoods.
